✨ From a pandemic pause to a TEDx stage — what a journey! Back in 2019-2020, everything came to a halt with the pandemic. In the midst of that uncertainty, I decided to take a bold step and create an association Influence au Mboa aimed at empowering African youth. Four years later, I found myself standing on the TEDxYaoundé stage, speaking about a subject I deeply believe in: "Networking: the key to career and activity development." Throughout the journey, despite the many obstacles, I met incredible people who opened unexpected doors — and TED Conferences was one of them. Here’s what I shared during my talk: The 3 essential principles of networking: ✨ Bring value – We all have something to offer. Don’t just wait to receive. ✨ Be authentic – The goal is to connect, not impress. Stay true to your values. ✨Seize opportunities – Networking can happen anywhere. Be prepared and bold enough to embrace it. Thanks to Forvis Mazars, and especially to Florence Sardas, who told me at last year's seminar to keep daring and, above all, to believe in my dreams. Those motivating words still resonate with me. En 2024, l'association "Influence au Mboa" a réalisé plusieurs activités marquantes : Cameroon Cultural and Digital Youth Summit : Cet événement a rassemblé 400 jeunes pour promouvoir les opportunités offertes par la technologie. Business Game : Un jeu d'entreprise a été organisé en collaboration avec les écoles de commerce et d'ingénieurs de Douala. Session de formation sur le fact-checking : Une formation dédiée aux journalistes pour améliorer leurs compétences en vérification des faits. Participation à deux hackathons chez Google : L'association a pris part à deux compétitions de programmation organisées par Google. Visite au Sénat en France : L'équipe a valorisé l'excellence africaine lors d'un événement organisé par Powerhous

We had the incredible opportunity to pitch an innovative solution at Google for the first time! 😎 On Friday, 13/9, my association “Influence au Mboa” joined an exciting hackathon organized by ThinkYoung at Google France. The event focused on using technology to combat election disinformation. The day was intense and inspiring, filled with innovation and collaboration. Here are some key highlights: 🌟 We heard inspiring talks from experts like Pr. Jean-Gabriel Ganascia from Sorbonne Université, Mia Sahl from the hashtag#GoogleNewsInitiative, and Benoit Tabaka, Director of Public Policy at Google France. 🌟 We engaged in Design Thinking, brainstorming, and prototyping sessions, exploring innovative solutions to the challenges presented. 🌟 We participated in peer-to-peer reviews, refining our ideas through valuable feedback before preparing for the final pitch. 🌟 Finally, we entered the pitching session where each team showcased their project! 💪 Our team: hashtag#Influence_au_Mboa 💻 Our project: hashtag#CheckAm (Stay tuned for more details!) 🙏 A huge thank you to ThinkYoung, the guest experts, and Google France for hosting this incredible event! Dans le but de valoriser le parcours de la diaspora africaine, nous créons un podcast intitulé “Came on Joss”. Ce podcast mettra en lumière les opportunités et les défis auxquels la diaspora est confrontée.

En coopération avec l’association RobotSave, nous cherchons à immerger la jeunesse africaine dans le monde de la robotique.

L’association Influence au Mboa a été lancée pour promouvoir le numérique en Afrique. Initialement, nous avons entrepris cette démarche en tant qu’individus, mais nous avons rencontré des obstacles administratifs nécessitant une entité juridique. Nous avons donc opté pour la création d’une association à but non lucratif.

L’objectif principal du Cameroon Cultural and Digital Youth Summit est de promouvoir les opportunités offertes par la technologie auprès de la jeunesse camerounaise, des acteurs culturels et des autorités locales. Convaincu que la technologie est un levier essentiel pour le développement du Cameroun, cet événement vise à sensibiliser et à mobiliser tous les acteurs concernés.
